The Compassion Barrier

Posted by Subway Serenade on January 25, 2012 at 3:24pm 0 Comments

It may turn out that the actual harmonics differ from person to person, but for me, reaching what I'm tentatively calling "The Compassion Barrier" came when the Spectral peak closest to, but below 9hz reaches up around 1.0vrms, and Internal Coherence reaches above 140% on the Heart Tuner's scale.

"The Compassion Barrier" is the point where the feeling of "Bliss" or "Eureka" or "Oneness" becomes unbearable. (Imagine unbearable happiness!) I believe this barrier can be…

"Quieting Performance Anxiety Through Music Improvisation"

Posted by Dr. Dorita S. Berger, PhD on November 17, 2011 at 9:55am 0 Comments

The workshop I presented yesterday on "Quieting Performance Anxiety Through Music Improvisation", which is based on my book, "Toward The Zen Of Performance", went extremely well, and was very enthusiastically received! Students of all woodwind instruments (some 25 or so) all participated in various improvisational exercises directed at quieting the analytical mind, and were really into the participation. I hope other Universities or music-training schools will…

Music and Brain

Paula Tallal sent this link since it mentions the New York Academy of Sciences Conference, but also, some very interesting research going on in California.   Thought you would all enjoy checking this out.

What Parkinsons teaches us about the brain

Those of you who attended the Music, Science and Medicine Conference I organized and hosted this past March at the New York Academy of Sciences heard Dr. Jay Alberts speak in person.  Here's today's article on his work -- enjoy.

Introducing myself...

Posted by Will Henshall on October 3, 2011 at 2:31pm 2 Comments

Hello everyone! I'm a left brain and a right brain person. I'm equally at home working as a professional musician/composer and as a technology inventor. I'm currently CEO of a new software start up in LA called Dulcetta that is creating an intelligent background music system. We're not launched yet, so you won't find info about this on the net. I've also been signed to Warner Music for 24 years. I've written a few hits over the years, including this one…

Interesting experience

It was on Radiolab, an NPR show. A piano player in Michigan who can
listen to four symphonies in his head at once. How - and how can they
possibly test and verify it? You'll find out.

Music and the EM Field cont. Jedi Training: Using The Force

In this screenshot, note the fourth peak from the left. This seems to be the harmonic connection between the thinking mind and the feeling heart, that hovers between 7.5 and 9 cycles per second (hz) Look at how far off…

I've noticed that in nursing homes, where dementia is common, people tend to "perk up" when a musician plays old familiar tunes. I notice that when I'm having any kind of physical discomfort, my spectral coherence is lower, and…

If a person is in pain, would the electromagnetic response to music be different than if there is no pain?   I'm trying to figure out how one would go about selecting music-based treatment for persons who are intellectually disabled,…

Thank You, Dori. I'm not implying that just hooking up someone to the Heart Tuner would permit instant control of the body's electricity. That takes a while to learn. Though one instant practical benefit would be having therapist and…

This Is Amazing!

This was bound to happen at some point, but I'm very happy to be a pioneer in the effort. When I first took this screen capture, I didn't quite know what to make of it. I just knew that I'd never felt anything like it before, even though I have the ability to create wide modulation in the amplitude of my EM Field. Later on in the day I realized that this is some sort of biofeedback "ignition sequence."The feeling I got when this was happening was a distinct concentration of my body's…See More

I started working on this game in April of 2007. A good chunk (nearly three years) of that time was spent trying to get the software people to make necessary improvements. What you are seeing in these recent screen captures is Level 4 of the game,…

We need to organize some extensive research on this!  Take measurements of many people responding to the same music, and see if there are variances within the electric fields of different persons...   and,  are there differences…

Wave Hurling

Prior to Nov 1, I was essentially riding or surfing on the waves of my EM field. On Nov 16, I posted a new facet to Level 4 of my game called "Wave Hurling." To do this, I let my EM field dance to the music while concentrating on the spectral peak closest to 9hz. the object of "Wave Hurling," is to make the wave cross at least 3…See More
